We took 7762 steps today.  I got two hamsters today after school.  One got out.  I saw it twice, then it was gone with out a trace.  One time it was cornered, I turned to get a bowl to trap it, then it was gone, as if it ran through the wall.  I ended up finding her under the beanbag chair.  Her tentative name is "Ghost".
