73,399 Steps - Day 10 - Friends

We took 10091 steps today.

Things have been going well with Pikachu. So far I have brought him everywhere I have traveled. I forgot how much noise Pikachu makes when you walk with him. When it's quiet you can hear the "ka-chink, ka-chink, ka-chink" with each step. So much for trying to sneak around my house!

PokéRap Melody

The Pocket Pikachu 2 series has the ability to set an alarm with a custom melody. In Pikachu's manual there is a sample alarm melody, which is:

*The D' note is supposed to be D with a bar over it. 

This "sample melody" ends up being the end to the PokéRap song! You can hear it at 2:50:

 

I thought I would share this because a while ago I lost the alarm melody and couldn't find it on the Internet. So I found Pikachu's manual and decided to post it here! Maybe you can set it as your Animal Crossing town tune.

10th Anniversary

Hello everyone!

I know that the last post on this blog hasn't been since July 2008. A lot has happened since that time. I graduated high school and college, and Pikachu reached well over 10 million steps!

Tomorrow, April 16th, 2016 will be Pikachu's 10th Anniversarry. 

Unfortunately, Pikachu was somehow reset. Maybe Pikachu can only store 10 years of data?

Anyways, I completely cleaned Pikachu, including opening up and fixing his buttons (the B button no longer worked). 

Pikachu is good as new and ready for another 10 million steps!

I will try to spruce up this blog a little (many broken links). For instance "JRBnet" was the fictional company I made up. I won't be posting daily, but I will try to bring Pikachu around and get those steps back up. 

In a way, it's a good thing that Pikachu and I are starting over. I forgot when I stopped carrying him around everyday, maybe in 2009? But ever since then when I would start up Pikachu he would be very angry at me and our Friendship status was "Meanie". I felt so bad, and got Pikachu to like me again, but he would always go back if I didn't carry him around everywhere. 

So here's to Pikachu and me starting fresh! Here's to 10 million more steps, 3 more battery changes, and 10 more years!
